Our History
Wajir Teachers Training College (WTTC) was established in 2015 in response to the growing demand for qualified and professionally trained teachers in northern Kenya. At the time, the region faced a significant shortage of skilled educators, which negatively affected the quality of education in many communities. To address this gap, the college was founded with a clear mission — to provide accessible, high-quality teacher training in Kenya and develop competent, community-focused educators.
Since its establishment, Wajir Teachers Training College has made significant progress in fulfilling its mandate.
